Meet the Coaches

Coach Girard is the founding director of Greenwich Volleyball Club and currently serves as the club director, technical advisor and coach. From 2001-2021, Coach Girard led the middle and high school volleyball programs at Greenwich Academy. During the 20 years at GA, the team has accomplished numerous FAA championships and won a New England prep school (NEPSVA) championship. In 2017, Coach Girard led the GVC U14 Elite girls team to nationals, as the only U14 team from New England that year. In addition to her role at GVC, she is a sand volleyball coach at C2 Attack where she coaches her son and other boys at the USAV national level.

Coach Jordan has been coaching at Sacred Heart Greenwich for 10 years and currently heads their middle and high school programs. She has led the CSH team to multiple FAA championship matches. In 2013, CSH won the FFA Championship (against GA!) and has been a runner up in 2014, 2015 and 2016! Coach Jordan has led her team to numerous NEPSAC New England Class A post season playoffs as well. Coach Jordan joined Greenwich Volleyball Club in 2018 and has coached our U13, U14, & U15 teams.

Coach G joined GVC in the spring of 2018. While at the Junior Level, G played for MEVBC as a libero. In addition to winning regional tournaments, his team also won the 2017 Boys Junior National Championship! Before joining us, he assisted the Fairfield Warde Boys’ program for one season. More recently, he assisted the Sacred Heart Greenwich varsity team for two seasons and the Sacred Heart University Men's DI team for one season. Currently, he serves as our assistant director and coaches our high school teams and future elite players.

Coach Carol has coached at Joel Barlow High School since 2007 and helped lead Barlow to 12 SWC Championships, 5 State 2nd Place Titles, as well as a State Championship in 2018 and 2022. Carol also has experience coaching at the High School and Club levels in California. She led her high school team to 2nd place at the California State Championships and her club team to 7th place at the United States Junior Olympics.

As a collegiate player, Carol played Division I Volleyball for the University of the Pacific where her team received Top 5 National Ranking all 4 years. In 1990, her team placed 2nd at the NCAA Division I, Women's Volleyball Championships.

Coach Anlyn has been playing volleyball since she was 12 years old in the Dominican Republic. She was the youngest player to make the varsity team at her school! She then played club and finally became part of the Dominican Republic Olympic team practice squad. Then, she played for the University of Bridgeport as a serving specialist and libero. Anlyn's history in coaching started in her college years and continued after in a CT Juniors program, only taking a break when she had her daughter Mia. But now Mia has re-lit the fire in her to keep passing down a passion that never left. Coach Anlyn is the ultimate cheerleader for the team while focusing on process, repetition, and discipline with the sport we all love.

Coach Pam has been coaching at Greenwich Academy since 2015. Under Coach Girard’s leadership, she has grown the GA Junior Varsity program and aided in player skill development. After many promising seasons, the team won the 2018 FAA JV Championship. Pam joined GVC in 2018 and coaches our U13 & U14 future elite program.

Coach Corky joined GVC in the fall of 2021. As an athlete, she played at Springfield College as a pin hitter and made an appearance at the NCAA DIII Elite 8. Outside of the court, Corky teaches middle school math and is studying for her strength and conditioning certification. She is passionate about growing the whole athlete: physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Coach Paloma has been a part of GVC since before the beginning! She was on Coach Girard’s varsity team for all four years of high school; she became starting libero and earned the "most improved player" award her sophomore year, and stepped into the role of co-captain by her senior year (when they made it to the semi-finals of FAAs). It was around this time that Paloma first started helping Coach Girard as a “junior coach” with what would then become GVC. Now, Coach Paloma has worked with players of all ages, from 5 to 18 years old, and is a strong believer that a solid foundation in skills is key to becoming the best player you can be.
